Hugo, a single father struggling to make ends meet, stumbles upon an opportunity to get paid while he sleeps. Lunatech’s simulated world, Slumbervale, runs on the labor of its users—people who have no memory of what they do there, or that it even exists.

From the beginning, something doesn’t sit right.

Inside Slumbervale, the rules are rigid, the routines repetitive, and no one else seems to question any of it. When Hugo meets Piper—a rebellious hacker who validates his suspicions—his unease deepens into something much harder to ignore.

Meanwhile, in the real world, his life is unraveling. His drinking is worsening, his daughter is pulling away, and the truth about his past is getting harder to conceal.

As pressure builds in both worlds, Hugo must decide what he’s willing to face—and what it will cost him if he doesn’t.
